HashiCorp Sr. Technical Program Manager - R&D Productivity in United States

About the role

HashiCorp is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Program Manager who is passionate about developing processes and systems that support R&D teams (Engineering, Product Management, and Design) to consistently deliver high-value products to our customers.

As a Senior TPM, you will manage programs focused on developing and standardizing our product and software development processes; and empowering teams to learn and adopt new ways of working to meet business needs. Your programs will span multiple functions within R&D and across the organization requiring collaboration with organizational leaders and operational counterparts in Marketing, Sales, Support, Security, and IT. Additionally, you will monitor the effectiveness of the processes you build, driving improvements, and actively reporting on operational success metrics.

In this role, you can expect to take on these responsibilities:

  • Drive the end-to-end execution of complex, large-scale programs that support the continued maturation of product and software development processes

  • Develop comprehensive program plans that clearly articulate the business value, goals and objectives, milestones, dependencies, enablement strategies, and success metrics

  • Design process frameworks and solutions, illustrating how they work through written documentation and visuals

  • Facilitate the rollout and training of teams on new processes & tools

  • Conduct discovery on existing processes and tooling, identifying pain points and opportunities to improve

  • Facilitate workshops to foster stakeholder alignment and ensure solutions are developed collaboratively

  • Drive decision-making and approvals of program scope & objectives, as well as the program deliverables created (new processes, systems and templates), across multiple stakeholder groups

  • Create learning materials (training guides, videos) and knowledge management hubs

  • Monitor and report on program progress and performance, proactively identifying and mitigating risks and issues

  • Manage continuous improvement in processes and systems, synthesizing feedback from multiple sources, including executives, and translating this into actionable improvements

You could be successful in this role if you have these attributes:

  • Proven experience as a process designer, systems-thinker and change agent, leading large-scale process change programs across multiple teams and functions

  • A solid understanding and application of Product Development Life Cycle and Software Development Life Cycle standards and best practices

  • Advanced JIRA, Confluence, and JIRA Product Discovery skills and experience developing standardized frameworks to support consistent usage of these tools across organizations

  • Strong analytical skills, a second-order thinker who can evaluate alternatives, and make decisions based on quantitative and qualitative data

  • Advanced presentation skills, the ability to create persuasive and compelling narratives and lead discussions

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels

  • Strong bias for action and an intrinsic ability to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment

Individual pay within the range will be determined based on job related-factors such as skills, experience, and education or training.

The base pay range for this role in the SF Bay Area / NYC area is:

$182,800—$215,000 USD

The base pay range for this role in Seattle Metro, Denver / Boulder Metro, New York (excluding NYC), Washington D.C., or California (excluding SF Bay Area) is:

$167,500—$197,100 USD

The base pay range for this role in Colorado (excluding Denver / Boulder Metro) and Washington (excluding Seattle Metro) is:

$152,300—$179,200 USD
