Telecommunications Engineer – Video Production and Broadcast Support

Pay Rate: $40 - $85 per hour / $83,000 - $177,000 per year

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Telecommunications Engineer to join our team with a special focus on video production and broadcast support for cybersecurity competitions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecommunications, video production, and broadcast technology, and will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and efficient video communication systems. This position has part-time opportunities available.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy video production and broadcast systems tailored to meet the unique requirements of high-profile cybersecurity competitions.

  • Collaborate with cybersecurity experts to integrate secure communication protocols and solutions into video production and broadcasting workflows.

  • Manage live streaming and video broadcast operations during events.

  • Ensure compliance with security standards and regulations for broadcast and video communication.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to video production, streaming, and broadcasting systems.

  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members and competition participants.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in video production, broadcasting and technology.

  • Document technical processes and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Media Arts and Technology, Digital Filmmaking, or a related field. Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • 3+ years of experience in telecommunications engineering with a focus on video production and broadcast support.

  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, telecommunication systems, video production equipment, and broadcasting technologies.

  • Hands-on experience with live streaming platforms, video codecs, and broadcast systems.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
