    About the Position

    This internship runs June 2024 through to November 2024. This is a paid internship. To participate in our internship program, interns must commit to working a minimum of 20 hours per week, not to exceed 30 hours per week.The Operations Intern works closely with the Operations Coordinator, DSPolitical staff members and provides support to the Operations Department. 

    Specific duties may include the following:

  • Support office management functions such as vendor coordination, kitchen schedules, and ordering and restocking of supplies

  • Support asset tracking and management for corporate equipment

  • Research applicable compliance regulations

  • Assist with event concept building and theme development

  • Assist in preparing and coordinating all logistical aspects of company sponsored events

  • Assist in communications involving event management including BEOs, timelines, calendars, reports, diagrams, etc.

  • Request estimates, reach out to vendors, and interact with all departments within the company

  • Perform general administrative duties related to operations support 

  • Perform other duties as assigned from time to time

  • Excellent organizational, written and oral communication skills; ability to effectively present and communicate to all levels within an organization

  • Proven ability to organize, prioritize and complete multiple types of administrative tasks

  • Some event planning experience

  • Solution-Oriented Focus

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Positive Personality

  • Ability to think creatively and take initiative

  • Excellent Computer skills, including Microsoft and Google Suites

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Currently pursuing a degree in a related field

    Office Hours:

    This position will be working on a hybrid basis at the Washington, DC office. Work hours are consistently 9:00 A.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday, with the expectation that evening and weekend work will be required as necessary.
