Description:
Come join our Surgical Center team at Saint Mary's Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Of New England!
Affiliated with Saint Mary's Hospital, this position is located at the Naugatuck Valley Surgical Center in Waterbury
Position Purpose
Performs complete and accurate pre-registrations, registration, and admission functions
What you will do
Register Patients, review all demographic insurance information, make necessary corrections, verify procedure and obtain the necessary signatures
Assist with front desk lunch relief, assist with answering phone
Assist with preregistration queue and front desk reception tasks
Verify insurance requirements, obtain and understand insurance benefits
Ensure that all entries concerning demographic, financial and advanced directives are accurate
Collect non-covered fees
Prepare daily deposit, verify hospital outpatient benefits on select insurance companies
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent, college preferred
Medical terminology skills.
Relevant medical office, hospital / physicians billing or patient registration experience preferred.
