At Fred's, we are looking for a Shipping Receiving Lead to join our Team. This is a “hands on” position and if you are an energetic Team Player, capable of managing multiple priorities, you are the type of individual we are looking for.Job DescriptionHelps to coordinates and aid in the work activities in the receiving, inventory, shipping, and control of parts in the Warehouse area.Primary Responsibilities• Pull and ship customer orders per packing slip direction or customer requirements as needed.• Ensures received materials are checked against documentation for completeness, identification and quantity.• Review and release customer orders for shipment, based on product availability and priority.• Communicates with other functional areas such as Purchasing, Customer Service, Fabric and Frame Assembly departments in order to coordinate orders, shortages or expedite stock problems.• Schedules shipments with Common Carriers and/or UPS and FedEx.• Provide lead-time on shipments and order status information to Customer Service and management.• Ensure bill of lading for shipments are being prepared.• Responsible for the direction of employees involved in the storage, preparation and shipment of finished goods and raw materials in the absence of Warehouse Manager. Improves efficiency and accuracy of warehouse and shipping activities.Other Responsibilities: Performs various tasks and projects as directed by Warehouse Manager.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.• Able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and carry occasionally.• Able to occasionally lift and carry up to 100 pounds, onto the pallet jack.• Able to stand, walk regularly.• Able to climb occasionally.• Able to push & pull with both hands regularly.Qualifications/Previous Experience Requirements• Associates degree in business or related field; and/or equivalent work experience.• 3+ years of experience in a shipping, receiving and/or warehouse lead role.• Forklift/pallet jack certified.• Ability to change priorities in a dynamic work environment.• Experience with Fed Ex, Ups and/or Common Carriers shipping system.• Effective oral and written communication skills.• Commitment to company values and strong customer orientation.• Must be PC literate; working knowledge of MS Office; ERP system experience a plus.
Minimum Salary: 22.00 Maximum Salary: 30.00 Salary Unit: Hourly
