Overview of the role:

Hartford Funds is seeking an individual who will be responsible for supporting its marketing department across a number of technical areas, including the creation and enhancement of reporting, managing and maintaining API-based integrations across marketing platforms, executing data extracts, and identifying and executing opportunities for enhanced personalization within our marketing automation platform and across marketing channels. The successful candidate will possess a strong data and analytics skills, and knowledge of various marketing technology and customer relationship management platforms.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Act as the go-to resource within Marketing for data related questions

  • Be the subject matter expert on all data platforms within Hartford Funds and how those platforms interact

  • Quickly and accurately provide answers to ad-hoc data requests. Go beyond simply providing data but supply interpretations and recommendations as well.

  • Proactively identify opportunities to automate or improve existing manual and inefficient processes throughout the department.

  • Create automated methods for repeatedly extracting and manipulating data through APIs (Marketo, Morningstar, Seismic, etc.)

  • Provide regular reports and dashboards to Marketing personnel and leadership. Maintain and enhance existing reports, creating new ones as needed.

  • Automate dashboards to ensure most recent results and data for marketing leadership and team members to leverage in strategic decision making.

  • Weekly and daily review of website metrics through Google Analytics 4

  • Provide technical expertise across digital marketing initiatives that require basic development or coding experience.

  • Create, manage, and enhance Marketo Engage Velocity tokens used for dynamic content and email personalization.

  • Understand and leverage custom objects and in both Marketo Engage and Salesforce to effectively create personalized experiences and help segment audiences for marketing utilization across marketing channels.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Marketing, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or Finance.

  • 3+ years marketing experience, financial services experience a plus

  • Experience with Marketing Technology platforms: Adobe Marketo Engage, Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Salesforce CRM

  • Experience with Data Visualization & Dashboarding Tools: Tableau, PowerBI, etc.

  • High proficiency in one or more of the following languages: Python, R, SQL, Java

  • Expert data wrangler. Additional statistical skills a plus

  • Ability to interpret technical information and clearly communicate it to a non-technical audience

  • An eagerness to identify and implement process improvement opportunities

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$75,000 - $100,000
