Johnson Controls has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Parts ID Specialist based in Waynesboro, PA. You will be responsible for providing part identification, minor technical support, price quotations, product selection assistance, and order processing assistance to key stakeholders and internal/external customers. You'll also have the opportunity to help resolve complex customer product inquiries by using your excellent customer service skills! How you will do it Daily, you will Identify (ID) parts on MAPICS/SAP/Windchill systems and address escalated Parts ID requests that requires technical support (application/electronic/electrical knowledge). You'll be the liaison between procurement/quality/operations and Engineering and processing parts orders and orders changes to include price quotations, preparation and follow-ups on purchase orders, and confirmation of shipment dates. You'll be a main point of contact for customers on status of their Part identification and/or quote requirements and advise them of superseded part changes. Providing pricing and availability to customers, obtaining approval from Buyer to ship items that are of limited quantity and assisting in creating new part numbers and identifies part number errors are all daily responsibilities. Get ready to work with purchasing agents on new parts, lead times and pricing and provide continuous improvement support to lessen total customer case load and increase customer self-help opportunities!

What you will need Required

1 to 3 years of product driven customer support experience

Advanced level skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Strong communication skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize

Demonstrates the technical aptitude required to learn and provide semi-technical support to customers to drive sales and improve customer experience

Preferred

Familiar with SAP, MAPICS (ERP), Auto Desk, Microsoft Access, PowerBi and Sales Force

Part ID, technical support and call center experience

College degree in a related discipline, or relevant technical experience (3-5 years of experience) preferred. Industrial Refrigeration system and sub-system knowledge
