Machine Operator
Job Description
Large kettles that mix the paint and then funnel them into a three roll milling machine that disperses the paint into a drum. This milling machine is controlled by a panel that adjusts the temperature, speed, etc.
Uses personal protective equipment, if required.
Tends mills in a safe and efficient manner to grind raw materials for manufacturing of high-quality printing ink by performing any or all duties as directed.
Processes batches of ink at proper mill settings, as directed by the Supervisor and Quality Control as to grinding and canning requirements, specifically following instructions regarding additions and asking the supervisor for assistance when necessary.
Follows all Quality requirements and testing procedures.
Follows all required packaging requirements with proper labeling.
Must not leave the mill unattended without notifying the supervisor.
Maintains cleanliness for mill, work area, and required PM's.

The production floor is clean and organized, however, the facility itself is hot because of the ink manufacturing and tub washing machines. You are required to wear vests (color-coded for a permanent employee, contract employee, supervisor, guest). Steel toes are mandatory and must be worn at all times on the floor. PPE such as safety glasses are provided.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
