Phillips 66 Maintenance Planner, Lake Charles Refinery in Westlake, Louisiana

The Maintenance Planner is accountable for developing maintenance work plans per the Routine Maintenance Work Process. The position generates accurate job packages and cost estimates and create task lists for repeatable jobs utilizing SAP per the RWMP Process. The Maintenance Planner ensures activities are consistent with Phillips66 core values, aligned with LCR plant goals, and in compliance with RWM.
Responsibilities May Include:
Plan and estimate labor, material, and service resources for maintenance per the Maintenance Planning Process
Develop plan task list library in SAP and planning package library for repeatable maintenance tasks
Generate accurate and complete planning packages for all planned jobs so craft productivity can be optimized
Constructively resolve priority, scope, job step, and resource requirement issues in partnership with Operations and Maintenance Resources during the planning stage
Provide vacation relief for other Area planners
Team with Area scheduler to develop scheduler skills
Critique and adjust plans/task lists for completed jobs based on information returned from crafts and supervision
Notify the Master Equipment Data Owner of any equipment changes or BOM changes
Assist Area clerk with work order/notification closures and documentation as required
Provide daily communication to the Area Scheduler of status of jobs in PLAA status
Provide all planned packages to Area scheduler for review and filing as requested
Provide input and support for Turnaround Planning when requested
Required Qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Proficient in SAP for the RWMP
Subject Matter Expert of Maintenance Planning Work Process, and the Routine Maintenance Work Process
Written and oral communication skills
Ability to plan for multi-craft and contractors
Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Excellent organization/time management skills
Extensive Craft and/or Operations experience
Extensive maintenance planning experience related to safety, craft knowledge, materials, and logistics
Working knowledge of Engineering, Safety, and IHS standards and procedures
Able to read and perform material take-offs from isometrics and equipment drawings
Willing and able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC). Information can be found at https://www.tsa.gov/for-industry/twic
Must be willing and able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to comply with the following:

Occasional on-call duties
Work extended hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
Transport articles up to 50 pounds
Work safely near large, hot, high-speed machines
Climb ladders and stairs up to 200 feet in height

Work around hydrocarbons under high pressure and heat
Work outside in harsh weather conditions
Wear fire retardant clothing and personal protective equipment (such as steel-toe shoes, and ear and eye protection)
Maintain face daily so that a respirator/face mask can seal properly (some examples include being free of facial hair and/or clean shaven)
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficient with SAP system structure
Familiarity with Symphonic V3
Able to network across the Business unit and across goals through influence management
Strong organizational skills
Proficient with basic desktop software and SAP
Maintenance knowledge focused on defining preventative maintenance activities
Understanding of the Lake Charles Refinery Preventive Maintenance Manual
Self-starter with minimum supervision

The Lake Charles Refinery is located in Westlake, Louisiana. Refinery facilities include crude distilling, naphtha reforming, fluid catalytic cracking, alkylation, hydrocracking, hydrodesulfurization and delayed coking units. Facilities also include a specialty coker and calciner. The refinery processes a mixture of light to heavy, low- and high sulfur and low- and high-acid crude oils. It receives domestic, Canadian and other foreign crude oil through truck, pipeline, marine transportation and terminals, including the Beaumont and Clifton Ridge terminals and the Bayou Bridge Pipeline. Lake Charles produces a high percentage of transportation fuels. Other products include off-road diesel, home heating oil, feedstock for our Excel Paralubes joint venture, specialty graphite petroleum coke and petroleum coke. Refined products are distributed in the southeastern and eastern United States by truck, rail car, barge or pipelines and exported to Latin America and West Africa.
