Our client is seeking a talented senior engineer to support the enablement and prevention of cyber risks, such as fraud, bad actors, as well as data leaks / prevention of all of the above. We're seeking to hire someone who knows databases, modeling, and has a good mindset for different business processes in the IT sector.

Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $50 - $60 / hr. w2

Responsibilities:

• Develop with Python or SQL solutions to migrate DB2 into Postgres environments

• Develop new data APIs / services and recommend new solutions for our cloud / analytics processing engines as well as our data warehouses

• Mentor juniors when needed, perform assessments / implementations and validate data processing engines to ensure the best security possible

• Be willing to learn new things (I.E. within cyber security, mainframe, or modern cloud/analytics/data related technologies)

Experience Requirements:

• 8+ years of relevant experience working tools such as ETL / SQL (Informatica/DataStage/Snowflake/data movement say between different RDMBS and/or monitoring tools, file stores, warehouses, et cetera)

• Proven skills with cloud, development, data marts, experience working with DevOps teams, Business Analysts, different dashboards, and working with CICD related tool stacks (I.E. Maven, Jenkins, et cetera)

• Proven abilities working to build out data lakes within cloud (I.E. AWS/Snowflake/Azure/GCP)

• High proficiency in AT LEAST one major database and/or mainframe system (I.E. Postgres, Oracle, DB2, et cetera)

Education Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in technology adjacent field (Engineering/Computer Science)

* Interview will include heavycomplex SQL query coding challenges as well as PostgreSQL and shell questions, to do well, candidates must hold the required experience, education, as well as hold strong experience with ETL / Streaming (I.E. Kafka, Spark, Adeptia, or Alteryx) *

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
