Charles Schwab Sr Manager, Software Development & Engineering Senior in Westlake, Texas

Duties : Performs coding, testing and adhere to coding standards, procedures and techniques utilizing programming skills and contribute to the technical code base. Involve in design, code reviews, and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Identify and troubleshoot application code related issues, review and provide feedback to the final user documentation. Performs all application owner responsibilities for vendor applications including Risk Management. Evaluates business and software industry trends and takes lead for establishing, implementing, and monitoring best practices for technical development methodologies and tools. Providing technical guidance to cross-functional, cross-platform application development teams. Reverse engineer and modernize legacy applications, support legacy applications. Monitors production installation and supports application break fixes and overnight batch failures. Position allows for 100% remote work. Must live within reasonable commuting distance. Reports to company office in Westlake, TX.

Starting compensation for this location depends on related experience. Annual bonus opportunity and other eligible earnings are not included in the range(s) above. We offer a competitive benefits package, see below for details.

Salary: $156,720 to $246,800 per year

What you have

Job Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related field and 5 years progressive post-Bachelor’s experience in a related occupation.

Experience must include the following: COBOL, DB2, MQ, CICS, JCL, VSAM and Java; Changeman, Endevor, Fileaid, Abendaid, or Remedy; Java/J2EE; AWS, PCF, or GCP; and SQL, Cassandra, or MongoDB.
