Tiffany & Co. Slotting Analyst in Whippany, New Jersey

Position Overview:

The Slotting Analyst is responsible for maximizing the efficient utilization of the warehouse storage space. Strategically moving and assigning SKUs to an area and location that is appropriate for its value, size, or pick velocity. Utilizing available space more efficiently and being flexible and agile to adjust to changing circumstances. Work with the warehouse management and automation systems to continually develop new strategies and slotting methods as the systems are upgraded and evolve. Create slotting strategies that lead to increased operational efficiency, improved service levels and turn times. Manage SKU-level and location-level attributes and data to drive automated putaway and optimize slotting.

Key Accountabilities:

Analyze velocity, volume, value, etc. to strategically move and assign SKU’s, resulting in:

  • Increased picking labor efficiency.

  • Increased speed and flow of goods through the Distribution Center.

  • Increased picking accuracy.

  • Safety and ergonomics (by storing high-volume and heavy products in the best ergonomic positions).

  • Reduce damage and shrinkage.

Identify incorrect storage practices, cleanup efforts, SKU ticketing, etc. and coordinate with operations to determine corrective action plans.

Forecasting based on new PO's arriving at the RSC and systematically assigning SKU’s to locations within the Distribution Center.

Create reports and standard operating procedures to analyze and determine necessary SKU movements, partnering with the Labor Management team.

Miscellaneous

  • Support Distribution warehouse operations as needed.

  • Identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend improvement opportunities.

  • Assist in inventory related projects as requested.

Safety

  • Work safely at all times by consistently following safe work procedures for the Distribution Center, as well as all safety procedures required at your worksite. Promptly report all incidents and safety issues to your supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

  • College degree is required and/or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 2-5 years in an analytical position

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Distribution, Logistics, or Warehousing knowledge

  • Lean/Six Sigma certification a plus
