If so, Luzerne County Area Agency on Aging (AAA) has an immediate opening for an Administrative Officer 1. Apply today and come join our team! DESCRIPTION OF WORK This position coordinates the Senior Employment Program and the Pennsylvania Department Title V Program and is responsible for recruiting, interviewing, counseling, and placing applicants into meaningful community employment. This individual will need to write and submit all Federal Program proposals to ensure the continuance of subsidized employment opportunities for the low-income older worker.

Responsibilities will include reviewing and analyzing of existing program achievements and the development of new programs, policies and operating procedures as well as developing posters, pamphlets, and newsletters pertaining to older workers. Other duties include but are not limited to delegating tasks to the five on-site Participant Staff Assistants, attending AAA Advisory and staff meetings, and coordinating the Senior Community Service Employment Program to ensure that the programs' resources are in accordance with the total objective of the Workforce Investment Act.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment. Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and a bachelor's degree; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training. Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Carbon, Columbia, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Schuylkill, Sullivan, and Wyoming counties.
