Coordinate with project superintendent to maintain schedule, quality, and progress within the specifications of each job. TYPICAL DUTIES: * Coordinate tasks with project superintendent and other subcontractors according to priorities and plans/specifications * Monitor attendance of crew * Procure correct equipment for each job * Allocate general and daily responsibilities * Have authority, but respect for co-workers in a manner that doesn t create a hostile work environment * Supervise and train workers and tradespeople as well as perform the trade * Ensure manpower and resources are adequate * Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met * Supervise, when applicable, the use of machinery and equipment as well as operation * Resolve problems when they arise * Complete daily reports and documentation * Report on progress to managers SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: * Proven experience as steel erection foreman and/or the managing of a crew of 3 years * In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OSHA guidelines * Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints * Ability to communicate and report effectively * Ability to lift 80 pounds * Have a positive work attitude * Aptitude in math * Problem-solving abilities * Punctual and On-Time * Good physical condition * Valid driver s license * Clean driving record COMMENTS: Knowledge of multiple disciplines may be required. Makes decisions and recommendations which can greatly impact corporate relationship with Client and profitability of projects under his/her management. Acts without close supervision.
