Job Description

We are seeking a Regional Demand Planner for the Shelter Solutions business in North America who will work closely with Commercial, Supply Chain and Product leaders to develop and manage an accurate regional demand forecast for identified products at the appropriate levels, horizons and intervals.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Develop the Regional Demand Plan for identified products.

  • Develop, document and update the assumptions supporting the demand plan.

  • Establish, maintain and utilize forecasting and communication tools to build and maintain a multi-view.

  • Challenge the sales and marketing assumptions when significant deviations occur between the statistical forecast and the forward- looking Demand Plan.

  • Ensure finished product demand forecast accuracy and elimination of bias.

  • Aggregate all sources of demand with sufficient detail for the 24 month IBP planning horizon to develop the aggregate demand plan and the supporting assumptions for the Demand review in the Integrated Business Planning process. Review market and product intelligence; Integrate new & changing products and strategies to the plan.

  • Monitor the demand plan performance by measuring actual vs. planned performance for product family and product mix (bias, demand forecast error).

  • Develop and evaluate multiple what-if scenarios (simulations) to resolve demand/supply imbalances

  • In collaboration with Supply Chain and Customer Service, ensure flawless execution of tactics to manage abnormal demand, supply issues (including constrained supply), and customer requirements that are outside the capability of the supply chain to deliver.

  • Collaborate with Finance and Commercial Leaders to dial in key changes and assumptions into the monthly outlook review process

  • Partner with the commercial and supply chain teams to continuously improve the demand forecasting process

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to interface with key functions to integrate inputs from sales, marketing, supply chain, and operations into actionable plans.

  • Demand or Supply Chain functional experience and an appreciation for end-to-end business managing processes.

  • Business reporting, and/or data analytics experience required

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required

  • Keen sense for analyzing data and drawing out relevant business insights

  • Demonstrated process improvement and project leadership skills

  • Inquisitive, highly accountable nature to drive to root causes and seek creative solutions

  • A self-starter and pro-active, requiring little to no daily guidance

  • A commitment to teamwork, hustle, and shared accountability (with sales, marketing, product, supply chain, finance and operations partners) are absolute requirements.

  • Four-year college degree from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in sales, marketing, demand planning, business analytics, or supply chain

The following qualifications are preferred :

  • Experience using SAP and/or APO forecasting systems and tools

  • Experience in construction, hardware, or retail home improvement industries

*Please note - This position is a hybrid position and will be working 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. The hiring location for this position is the Experimental Station in Wilmington, Delaware or Midland, Michigan.
