Role Description:\ HopeStone currently has both part-time and full-time positions available for Direct Support\ Professionals working with individuals located in Waldoboro, Damariscotta, Pittsfield,\ Somerville, Readfield, Wiscasset, Oakland and surrounding areas. The role of a\ Direct Support Professional includes providing support and assistance to individuals with\ intellectual and developmental disabilities to lead a fulfilling life both at home and within their community through planning and participation in preferred activities of their choice. The DSP will assist in the implementation of individual planned program goals for each individual they support to assist that individual in being actively involved in daily activities to achieve greater independence utilizing person-centered planning and self-determination. The DSP will assist with activities of Daily Living and/or personal care as needed. The DSP will assist and/or substitute for fellow DSPs as necessary and perform other duties as related to this field of service as assigned by Field Team Supervisors and Program Management.
