About the Role:

As the L&D Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our workforce by:

  • Managing Technical Training: Oversee and enhance our welding programs to ensure high standards and strong participation. Provide leadership to our welding instructors.

  • Driving Leadership Development: Administer our leadership programs to reinforce a servant leadership culture and validate their effectiveness.

  • Creating & Leveraging Content: Assess training needs and develop or source course content to build comprehensive training programs.

  • Leading the LMS Implementation: Ensure our Learning Management System (LMS) is user-friendly, content-rich, and provides robust reporting capabilities.

  • Overseeing On-the-Job Training: Manage new hire orientation, process & machine certifications, and more to support our OJT strategy.

  • Ensuring Compliance: Handle customer-required employee training certifications and maintain up-to-date training records.

  • Delivering Training: Provide engaging virtual and in-person instructor-led training (V/ILT), using various methods to accommodate different learning styles.

  • Tracking & Reporting: Measure training effectiveness and identify gaps to implement follow-up programs.

    Role Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in learning and development or talent management.

  • Proven track record in developing and facilitating training programs for diverse audiences.

  • Experience with LMS systems and confident in presenting to groups.

  • Knowledge of adult learning theory, modern learning methods, and evaluation techniques.

  • Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.

  • Bilingual skills are a plus.

    The Process:

  • Next steps would include an on-site interview and tour of the facility to see what you could be doing here at Millerbernd Manufacturing. From here, the hiring manager would discuss the interview with the Team Lead (if applicable) and determine to move forward or not.
