Job Title: CT Tech - Radiology/CardiologyFacility: Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center Location: 3333 Silas Creek Pkwy, Winston Salem, NC 27103 Pay Rate: $60 - $65 per hour Shift: Night Shift (3x12-Hour Shifts), Saturday to Monday, 18:00 - 06:30 Contract Length: 13 weeks or more, up to March 15, 2025Job Description:We are seeking an experienced CT Tech to join our Radiology department at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center. The ideal candidate will perform CT scans for a variety of patient diagnoses, ranging from routine exams to complex trauma cases. This is a night shift role covering weekend shifts (Saturday, Sunday, and Monday). The unit sees patients of all ages, and you will work in an 80+ bed busy Emergency Department (ED).Key Responsibilities:Perform CT scans in inpatient, emergency, and ICU settings, as well as for walk-in patientsAdminister contrast materials and perform IV startsConduct CT procedures including Abdomen, Pelvis, Head/Neck, Chest, Spine, Musculoskeletal, and CTAsOperate Siemens equipment and utilize EPIC and Visage PACS systemsEnsure safe use of imaging equipment and proper radiation protection techniquesWork closely with the CT supervisor to adhere to unit scheduling and guidelinesRequired Skills/Certifications:Experience: Minimum of 5 years of CT experience required, 2 years considered if extensive trauma experienceCertifications: BLS and ARRT certification (must specifically hold CT registration)Skills: Proficiency in inpatient, ER, and ICU settings. IV starts, PACS, and contrast administration requiredTravel Experience: Previous travel experience required; 1st-time travelers will not be acceptedPreferred Skills:Experience in outpatient, Level I Trauma, NICU, brain perfusion, biopsies, and multiplanar reconstructionFamiliarity with Siemens equipment Job Details:Workload: Approximately 200 exams daily, 4 rooms availableShift Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts, Saturday through MondayCall Requirement: Rotating call scheduleWeekend Work: RequiredFloat Requirement: NonePatient Demographics: All age groups from routine to acute casesSpecial Equipment: Siemens equipment and scannersScrubs: Royal BlueAdditional Information:Dosimeter: Travelers must bring their own dosimeter; any brand will do, but the unit uses Landauer brandOrientation: Unit orientation at the discretion of the CT supervisorInterview Availability: Provide your availability for an interview within the next 72 hours when applyingApply now to be part of this dedicated team, helping to provide critical care in a fast-paced and supportive environment during the holiday season!
