Reporting directly to the Advanced Manufacturing Manager. This position is part of the Manufacturing Operations Team and will be located in Marsiling.

Purpose of this role:

The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for driving gains in raising operations productivity & users’ efficiency across factory through selective digital technologies with Danaher Business System (DBS) and/or lean manufacturing fundamentals.

This position is part of the Advanced Manufacturing and will be located in Marsiling Factory, on-site. accelerating our factory transformational journey to an industrial 4.0 Smart Factory.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Understanding broad 3-5 years manufacturing objectives/strategy & priorities & define how these translates into overall digital strategy & business cases development towards Smart factory goal driving our core value drivers.

  • Dissect focus/strategy into smaller achievable actions/projects/tasks focusing on selective digital/operational technologies to achieve both objectives & return on investments over a defined period.

  • Coordinate and facilitate requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and demonstrations to elicit and document business requirements and use cases to guide the development and implementation of suitable solutions.

  • Re-iterate Manufacturing Execution System (MES) roadmap to ensure relevance, provide inputs into annual budgeting & justify for the business case & financial approval with the relevant stakeholders if necessary.

  • Proactively Identify improvements or new digital/process automation technologies, collaborate with Global Sourcing for potential use cases and opportunities identified for new vendors involvement.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience preferably in medical device or life sciences industry covering business functions, digital transformation, or digital strategy consulting.

  • Extensive knowledge and well-versed in industrial 4.0, operational & digital technologies use cases & trends, ideation, deployment & digital governance in manufacturing environment.

  • Prior experience leading cross-functional teams & delivering shop-floor digital/operational technologies systems.

  • At least 5+ years of cross-functional leadership & project leadership experiences in a device manufacturing operations environment.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • High proficiency in Design Thinking, Agile methodology, Change Management, and Lean Six Sigma.

  • Basic understanding of data analysis process from problem definition to data presentation.

  • Proficient in Smart Sheet, MES Systems, Microsoft Visio & PowerPoint, Power BI.
