FONTENOT LAW, P.C. Family Law Litigation Attorney Salary: $120,000-$160,000 in WOODS CROSS, Utah

A partnership track is available for those who have the aptitude to be a successful and well-respected family law litigation attorney.

Attorney Job Responsibilities:

  1. Handle a manageable caseload of family law cases, including divorce, custody, modification, etc. You will have an average case load of 40-70 consistently, including active and inactive cases. When hired initially, your case load may be below the average case load.
  2. Help your clients receive the best results as allowed by the law. You will have the autonomy to pursue the best strategy in achieving the clients' ultimate goals.
  3. Litigate issues in court. Whether it be a motion to enforce hearing or a trial, you will need to effectively and eloquently advocate for your clients before the Commissioners and Judges.
  4. Conduct extensive research and analysis on a diverse array of family law cases.
  5. Draft persuasive motions, pleadings, and briefs.
  6. Collaborate with your clients, your paralegal, and other attorneys.
  7. Conduct consults with potential clients.

Attorney Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Possess a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  2. Licensed as an attorney in the State of Utah with a good standing with the Utah State Bar.
  3. Worked as a family law litigation attorney for at least 1-3 years.
  4. Have an understanding and knowledge of family law, legal procedures, and the intricacies of the courtroom.
  5. Possess exceptional research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  6. Articulate your thoughts with eloquence and precision, whether through written or verbal communication.
  7. Show empathy and build connections with clients, colleagues, and legal professionals.
  8. Possess negotiation and persuasion skills.
  9. Maintain a high level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
  10. Ability to manage a large case load.
  11. Have a good track record of family law client satisfaction, despite the outcome of the case.
