Mill Operator Job description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To operate rubber production machinery following process instruction cards, utilizing the proper tools and safety equipment, and following the direction of supervision.
- Convey rubber product from mixer to 1st mill conveyor.
- Blend rubber as instructed. Convey to 2nd mill.
- Practice safe work habits and report unsafe conditions/ actions to the area supervisor/manager
- Produce the highest Quality Product with no scrap
- Keep work station and surrounding area clean and organized
- Communicate with supervisor on any process changes or problems
- Pay is commensurate with experience
Requirements:
- No experience needed, will train.
- Required to stand while performing job duties including cutting rubber, feeding it into a conveyor belt (approximately 6 hours per shift, position will be rotated into less strenuous position during the remainder of the shift)
- Good balance needed to work around mill machinery, conveyors, forklifts and moving equipment. Must be able to bend, stoop, twist, and lift arms overhead while performing job duties
- Must be able to lift and manage a weight of 55 lbs
- Must pay attention to detail and follow instructions
- Must be able to read and speak English
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.50 - $19.00 per hour

Schedule:
- 3 -12 hr. days, normally Monday through Wednesday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- No weekends
- Overtime: possible 6 hours on Thursday mornings or as needed
Supplemental pay types:
- Bonus pay: $1 per hour monthly attendance bonus when employee works all of their scheduled hours for the month
