Introduction

Job Responsibilities:

· Patching Red Hat/Centos Servers in production environments

· Linux/OpenShift administration,

· Troubleshoot software and network systems

· Work with Compliance / IT Security Team to perform Secure Health Checks, resolve vulnerabilities and other findings

· Work with various vendors to resolve problems with devices and appliances

· Provide ongoing documentation of infrastructure and system changes

· Perform occasional on call duty system administration

· Manage and maintain assigned work queues

· Participate in after hours and weekend maintenance and upgrade projects as needed

· Perform project-based implementation work as assigned

· Automation / scripting (Linux shell, Python/Perl or PowerShell)

· Use Ansible to automate repeatable & batch tasks

· Create technical documentation and work instructions

· Regular worklog updates of all assigned tickets

· Completion of work by assigned due date

· Responsible for troubleshooting server problems as reported by users

· Researches, evaluates, and recommends software and hardware products

Your role and responsibilities

IBM Security is a pioneer and world leader in software and services that protect corporate and personal information from an ever-changing spectrum of online threats and misuse. IBM Security core operations are performed in Security Operations Centers (SOC) located in 10 locations around the Globe. SOC Poland is 2nd largest center covering globally all MSS operations. This role will participate in supporting Security Services Infrastructure Team in everyday IT operation

Required technical and professional expertise

• 3+ years of combined experience in Linux System Administration

• Broad background in system administration and software development

Preferred technical and professional experience

• 5+ years of combined experience in software engineering and Linux system administration

• Experience with OpenShift

• Experience with ServiceNow

• Experience working with Windows server

• Knowledge of TCP/IP, switching, firewalls, and encryption

• Knowledge of Ansible, Shell, Python, Terraform, Microservices

• MSS Security Products knowledge (like Qradar SIEM etc)
