Management Business Solutions Maintenance Manager in Wyoming, Michigan

*SUMMARY: *Management Business Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Manager for its client in the Grand Rapids, MI area. This individual would be responsible for daily upkeep and repair. This includes supervising preventive and emergency maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and other equipment, as well as managing parking and access areas.

RESPONSBILITIES:

  • Lead and supervise the facilities team, fostering positive relationships across departments.
  • Identify growth opportunities for staff and provide coaching and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure maintenance staff receive proper training on systems, safety, and procedures.
  • Supervise on-site contractual and maintenance staff.
  • Serve as a backup for the Building and Grounds Manager.
  • Manage daily maintenance for all public, administrative, and secure areas.
  • Schedule and assign work based on priorities and staff skills.
  • Collaborate with the Safety division to maintain a safe work environment and ensure employee safety training.
  • Implement and manage preventive maintenance schedules for all systems and structures.
  • Inspect and schedule repairs or replacements for any damaged or obsolete features.
  • Maintain inventory control for parts, tools, and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.
  • Log and monitor work orders from start to completion.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of experience in facilities management.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt to daily responsibilities.
  • Effective interaction with diverse individuals.
  • Knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electronics.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues.
  • Understanding of construction, safety, fire, health, and sanitation codes.
  • Familiarity with facilities operations, maintenance procedures, and security protocols.
  • Knowledge of OSHA/MIOSHA rules and ADA requirements.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and programmable logic controllers.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
