Key Responsibilities: Enter A/P invoices and complete check runs. Process all accounts payable, both bills received and regular payments. Prepare bank deposits. Process HUD and Transitions intercompany transactions. Verify invoices against purchase orders and ensure goods or services were received before issuing payment. Clarify any questionable invoice items, pricing, or approval signatures. Correspond with vendors regarding billing and payment. Post and reconcile accounts payable in accounting software. Verify and reconcile credit card expense reports. Reconcile statements and payment records. Ensure payments and credits are applied correctly. G/L journal entries into accounting software. Maintain copies of vouchers, invoices, or correspondence necessary for files. Oversees processing of student accounts, food cards, Section 8 apps and Erate requirements. Prepares special schedules, such as gas tax or telephone costs. Assist with budget and audit, providing information as needed. Maintain Petty Cash. Assist with other Business Office functions, as needed. Other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor\'s degree preferred or equivalent experience in accounting/full charge bookkeeping or related field. Experience with accounts payable, purchasing, Microsoft Word, Excel spreadsheets, and accounting software. Benefits: Benefits are available to full and part-time employees who work 20 hours or more per week in a regular position. Eligibility is generally the first day of the 3rd month of employment or at open enrollment (for eligible employees) in June. Details are provided through Human Resources and the collective bargaining agreement. The benefits package is reviewed periodically and subject to change.
