Job Title: Ecommerce Commercial Analyst

Location: York or Crawley (Hybrid)

Salary: Up to £46,000 depending on experience + potential bonus + 12 flexible days in addition to holiday entitlement + other fantastic benefits including Nespresso Coffee Machine and monthly allowance of capsules.

Position Summary

The Nespresso B2C Performance Team are recruiting for a talented Ecommerce Commercial Analyst to join our team where you will be responsible for analysing ecommerce transactional and behavioural data. Using your analysis, you will provide insights and recommendations to the commercial team to unlock incremental value. You will also have a strong focus on creating automated dashboards to monitor KPIs and business projects, utilising multiple data sources, such as Google Analytics and transactional databases. You will also be involved in business-wide projects, as E-commerce plays a huge part in all aspects of our business.

A day in the life of an Ecommerce Commercial Analyst

As an Ecommerce Commercial Analyst, you will play the role of a consulting analyst for the business, taking a view across the whole of Nespresso to analyse channel performance and support our monthly commercial planning process to enable smart and aligned navigation of our targets. You will identify key drivers of eCommerce channel performance, developments and trends and implement forecasting models to ensure accurate predictive analysis and planning.

Key responsibilities will include:

Channel performance analysis and business planning

  • Analyse and identify key drivers of e-commerce channel performance and commercial trends to inform decision-making and drive growth.

  • Share insights and provide recommendations at weekly performance meetings to help colleagues focus on performance optimisation.

  • Own e-commerce forecasting process and produce monthly sales forecasts to be incorporated within our planning cycle.

  • Update key stakeholders regularly on our commercial position and support navigation of commercial targets.

Data Visualisation

  • Create and deliver relevant and concise dashboards and reports for the business using Power BI, Google Analytics, SAP and other sources.

  • Form and quantify actionable recommendations for performance improvement within our digital business

  • Create monthly update reports for key meetings to inform colleagues on eCommerce performance and recommendations.

What will make you successful?

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate eCommerce commercial experience with proven examples of impacting commercial KPIs through analysis, insights and actionable recommendations. You will be an all-rounded commercially minded individual who brings energy, enthusiasm and drive. Strong collaboration is key to this role’s success so you will also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to constructively challenge when required.

You will also have:

  • Experience leveraging data visualisation tools (PowerBi/Tabelau) to turn analysis into readily accessible insight.

  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of Google Analytics 360/Google Analytics 4 or other analytics tools.

  • Strong Excel skills to automate processes.

  • Experience working with third party data platforms e.g. IRI,GFK, SimilarWeb, Adthena, Stackline.

  • Understanding of digital marketing strategies, marketing funnel and related toolset.

  • Experience of working in omni channel brands would be an advantage.

  • Experience of working for an FMCG would be an advantage.
