Pay Range: $17-23/hr based on experience
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Machine Operator for various shifts to join our team. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of packaging and processing machinery. You will be responsible for technical operations, set-up, basic adjustments, and maintaining performance levels for all packaging and candy making equipment. You will work closely with the Production Supervisor and/or Lead Person to achieve production goals while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
Correlate production tallies with Production Supervisor.
Operate packaging and processing machinery efficiently.
Maintain clear, open, and positive communication with the Supervisor and/or Lead Person.
Follow established Sanitation/Quality Assurance/HACCP and GMP procedures to ensure product quality.
Comply with company and OSHA safety policies.
Maintain cleanliness of work area and machinery; perform specified cleaning at the end of product runs and shifts.
Offer suggestions to management on improving efficiency, safety, and working conditions.
Perform and record hourly metal detector checks, package verification checks, and weight checks.
Ensure lot traceability and assist in inventory control as requested.
Maintain flexibility to perform any other duties as assigned, such as production worker roles in various capacities.
Follow all Food Safety and Quality Policies and Programs.
Report any food safety and quality concerns immediately to the supervisor or lead person.
Essential Skills
Fundamental knowledge to read work-related material and follow directions.
Working knowledge of assigned areas acquired through 1-4 years of applicable experience.
Demonstrated understanding of mechanical components and/or electronic controls of the equipment.
Understanding of chocolate composition and function and/or troubleshooting.
Positive and effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to perform as a team member and support co-workers, company policy, and production standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Production/Manufacturing experience preferred.
Ability to stand for up to12 hours per day.
Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 25-50 lbs. as needed.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret company documents.
Ability to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33280.00 - $41600.00/yr.
