Scope

The Material Handler is responsible to general shipping/receiving, material movement, product decontamination, and clerical support for the Product Service area.

Essential Functions

  • Follows work instructions and operating procedures

  • Completes all documentation and computer entries in compliance with established standards

  • Accurately receives all products and materials, utilizing the AX system

  • Accurately processes shipments, utilizing the AX system; packs appropriate documentation in shipments; seals boxes; builds statpaks for various products

  • Prepares loaners for shipment, based upon reports/pick lists

  • Coordinates report for units approved to be repaired and pulls parts for technicians to complete repair

  • Assembles cardboard packing material and maintains other shipping materials

  • Decontaminates all units, parts, and other products returned to Product Service for evaluation and/or repair

  • Decontaminates all inserts and other products received as the result of a complaint.

  • Routes decontaminated units and equipment to the appropriate departments.

  • Services the assigned equipment for maximum efficiency to ensure parts are staged in a timely manner.

  • Completes all associated documentation and computer entry in compliance with established standards.

  • Generates reports as needed by management and/or customers

  • Generate reports in AX and excel

  • Manage material flow through repair areas (staging parts, products)

  • Complete all shipping related activities to efficiently ship all repair and service products

  • Complete hazardous material shipping processing

  • Manages flow of products through decontamination area

  • Complete all receiving activities to complete all AX and other systems transactions as required

  • Proficient in the use of AX system

  • Effectively communicate with internal and external customers including freight/shipping vendors

  • Proficient in creating PO’s, Running MRP, Receiving PO’s

  • Performs all other duties and projects as assigned

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

Certifications/Licensing:

  • Forklift Certification a plus

Years and Type of Experience:

Material Handler I

  • Previous experience in processing materials in a manufacturing or repair service environment. Process the everyday flow material

Material Handler II

  • Process the daily flow in addition to being responsible for reporting out of AX

Material Handler III

  • Cross trained in all aspects of dept, ability to run reports as well as troubleshoot and resolve issues independently

Key Required Skills, Knowledge and Capabilities:

  • Good organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to utilize MS Office, specifically strong Excel skills.

  • Ability to work independently, as well as within a team.

  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic computations.

  • Ability to read and understand SOPs and other policies and procedures.

  • Ability to solve practical problems.
