Foxfire Schools 4th-6th Grade ELA Teacher in Zanesville, Ohio
Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher to join our team in educating and inspiring students in grades 4th through 6th. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in English literature, writing, grammar, and reading comprehension, along with a commitment to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment. This position is located in Zanesville, Ohio, where educators play a crucial role in shaping young minds and preparing students for academic success.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that align with Ohio state standards for English Language Arts.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active participation and a love for learning.
- Develop and implement effective instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with varying learning styles and abilities.
- Assess student progress regularly through a variety of formative and summative assessments, and use data to inform instructional decisions.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their growth and development in English language skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders to support student learning and well-being.
- Integrate technology and other resources to enhance instruction and facilitate student engagement.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in ELA instruction and educational trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education
- Valid Ohio teaching license or certification in English Language Arts for grades 4th through 6th.
- Strong knowledge of Ohio state standards for English Language Arts and experience with curriculum development and assessment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to collaborate with others to meet the needs of all students.
