Job Description

This job code is utilized for the majority of our temporary hires. The individual is performing hourly job duties as defined under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Responsibilities

Job description: As part of our research into making programming easier we are developing an experimental platform for "endless computing”, in which long running tasks are written like normal programs but can survive restarts and even upgrades of their code.

Job skills required: This project requires a strong grip on systems and database programming. You should know Java or a similar language (e.g C#) as the project involves changes to a research Java Virtual Machine written in Java, as well as having a strong interest in API and framework design, databases, developer usability and optimization efforts. You should be familiar with modern development practices and tools such as IntelliJ IDEA, git and relational databases.
